Hi, there! I'm Luciane from HomeBunch.com and I'm posting here today at House of Turquoise. Let me tell you a little about me. I've loved interiors and architecture for as long I can remember and I've been a reader of this blog for a long time, long before I even thought about writing a blog myself. So it's quite the honor to be invited here today to write a post on one of my favorite blogs. Yes, it's very exciting! It's great to meet you all and before I even start I want to thank Erin for letting me write here today.

Erin has such an eye for "pretty", don't you agree? She knows how to choose images which truly inspire and make us dream. When she invited me to make a post I thought about creating something fun for all of us. So I decided to create a top 10 list of my favorite turquoise kitchens that Erin has posted here. I spent a good amount of time trying to select them because there were so many gorgeous kitchens and it was hard to dwindle them down to just 10.

I really hope you enjoy my "picks".

#10: Susan Gilmore

Classic beauty!

#9: Key West Kitchen

It's true, we all love huge kitchens, but not all of us have one. I like this one because even though it's a tiny kitchen, you can admire it for its beauty and practicality. It's great to see when people use the space they have in a smart and fun way.

#8: Diamond Baratta

This is not for everyone. You can't be afraid of color if you choose to have a kitchen like this. Let me ask you this: can you picture a sad person cooking in this kitchen? I simply can't!

#7: Tobi Fairley Does It Again!

Tobi is another person that's not afraid of color. I love her designs and this kitchen is a great example of one.

# 6: Perfect Weekend Retreat

This kitchen is very clever! Did you notice the curtains? Don't feel like doing the dishes? Just hide the mess behind the curtains. Great when you have guests over!

#5 Jeffrey Fisher Home

Who wouldn't love to have a kitchen as pretty as this one?

#4: Swedish Kitchen

In so many cases... simplicity is still the best!

#3: Garrison Hullinger

The more I see this kitchen the more I fall in love with the details. Impeccable!

#2: Bring Home the Beach

Yes, the color is amazing but do you know what I like the best? The fact I can see a family truly enjoying this kitchen, and for me that's what kitchens are all about, being able to share moments with your family in one beautiful space.

#1: Brooks & Falotico

This kitchen is number one because it's so timeless. I love the classic material used here and I especially love the architectural details. This is a curvy kitchen and curves are always beautiful, aren't they?

Oh, I can't tell you how happy I am for spending this time here with you all. Thank you so much, Erin. This was so fun! I hope you're having a wonderful honeymoon and enjoying some sunshine for all of us. Can't wait to see your pictures when you're back. Enjoy every minute of it and we're already missing you!

Guest Blogger: Ann & Hooper of Birds of a Feather

... to newlyweds Erin and Chris who are on their honeymoon sunning it up in Mexico, where the sand is white and the water is turquoise (shocker). Congrats you two and thanks for inviting us to guest blog. For those of you who do not know us we are Ann and Hooper from Birds of a Feather. We are inspired by Erin's daily dose of turquoise and thrilled to share a little bit of our own. We finished this dining room in January, complete with Erin's favorite hue.

The room is a little bit Ann and a little bit Hooper and in a constant quest to blend our styles, we styled this table for a portfolio photo shoot. Maybe we got a bit carried away since no one is actually coming to dinner. The client was thrilled and might just have to throw an impromptu dinner party...

The hand painted peacock mural adds a little whimsy to a sophisticated space

and plays off the zig zag drapes across the room. (For more whimsical spaces see here, here, and here). However you use your space no room is complete without the details...

and if you are entertaining, down to the place cards. It's the tiniest details that make the biggest impact. (For more tiny details, see here).

Hello House of Turquoise readers, thanks for stopping by my Philadelphia apartment! I write a blog called Lacquered Life, where I share my musings on interior design, architecture and historic preservation. My studio is about 12 x14, save the window wells at the dormers. Although a tiny space, I like to think of it as my little treasure chest, where I can cram in all of the little things that I love.

Guest Blogger: Chris "A Dream House For My Wife"

Greetings fellow turquoise lovers! This is Erin’s husband, Chris. I can’t help but smile every time I get to say that now! Imagine my surprise when Erin asked ME to be a guest blogger on House of Turquoise. Being my first time ever blogging I decided I would attempt to piece together Erin’s dream house using the awesome images she has shared throughout the years here on House of Turquoise. I will start with the exterior of the house. The above image many of you will recognize as Martha Stewart's home (it’s sad that I know this, but I’ve come to terms with that), and the element we will take from this is that turquoise trim and that weathered shingle exterior you can find most perfectly in the Hamptons. Erin would flip out to have a house like this! The next key to Erin’s dream home, a comfy outdoor space with a view of ever expanding turquoise waters like the one pictured below (more here.) I can just picture Erin sitting out on that dock in the chaise lounge with a pina colada in her hand!

Now lets move on to the interior; starting with Erin’s dream kitchen. If you’ve been following House of Turquoise closely, you should already know this one… An exact replica of the kitchen below (more here.)

On to her dream bathroom… We will take elements from three different images to piece together her bathroom. Starting with the shower below (that must be curtained by the flamenco shower curtain from anthropologie, Erin has wanted that since I met her). The keys to the shower; BIG, lots of showerheads, and dreamy turquoise glass tile. …And the icing on the cake for this bathroom? Her own cozy vanity space to sit down and do her hair and makeup!

Finally what dream house would be complete without a bedroom. And the keys to the bedroom, as pictured below; a turquoise tufted headboard and closet big enough to park a semi in! I’m pretty sure a closet of this magnitude and grandure would sell Erin on the house alone!

I'm so very excited to be celebrating Easter this year. Not for the black jelly beans (am I the only one that even likes those??), but because it's my very first holiday with my husband!! Moreover, the two of us will be by the breathtaking turquoise waters of Mexico celebrating our honeymoon! Do you even know how excited I am?! I know you guys will be in good hands here, I've lined up some pretty awesome guest bloggers for the next couple of weeks! (2 weeks! I've never taken a 2 week vacation!) A real treat today, courtesy of one of my favorite photographers we all know and love, Ashlee Raubach!
