If there is one thing Connecticut photographer Jeff McNamara is known for, it's his outstanding ability to capture (or create!) sunlight. This assortment of turquoise-infused photos taken from his portfolio really showcase that unique talent, the lighting truly is incredible in each photo! My favorite photo is the first one. I know it's not even an interior, but the colors! The stripes! It had me longing for the beach ever since I saw it! The interiors are pretty amazing too...so many beautiful textures, layers and, of course, light! Head over to Jeff's website to see lots more fantastic interior and architectural photographs!

I feel like I say it every day, but I just adore a space filled with neutral tones brought to life with bursts of color! (Yummy flowers never hurt either!) Talented Vancouver interior designer Karla Amadatsu of Kerrisdale Design designed this lovely condo, captured perfectly by photographer Tracey Ayton, which was featured in the February 2013 issue of Style at Home. I'm all about the fabulous lighting choices, great texture and awesome furniture–especially those dining chairs! Don't you love the artwork too?? I was excited to learn it was done by Etsy artist Nancy Jean Tobin. For more images, visit Tracey's blog or Hodge Podge–Barbara Matson assisted behind the scenes and I loved reading about her experience!

Studio M Interior Design

A dream kitchen and bathroom...what more can you ask for?! This incredible home was designed by Marsha Faulkner of Studio M Interior Design out of Jacksonville, Florida. The coastal home photographed by Jessica Blank was definitely inspired by the ocean nearby...such a pretty sand and sea color palette! Let's chat about the bathroom for a sec though, I just cannot handle how beautiful it is! All of that storage?! AND a dressing table nestled in the middle? Then all the marble, fab lighting, and beautiful cabinetry?! What a space! See lots more great designs from Marsha right here!

Historical Concepts

Not only is this cottage totally adorable, it's steeped in history! The marshfront cottage was built by Henry Ford around 1930 and is located on the Ford Plantation (which is now a private sporting club) near Savannah, Georgia. The old building was supposed to be torn down, but new owners loved the history and the charming bones so much that they enlisted Jim Strickland of the architectural firm Historical Concepts to save the home! Wouldn't you love to live here?? The beautiful view, all those live oak trees, and a delightful interior oozing with character and history?! You can read the neat story behind the home and see more photos by Deborah Whitlaw Llewellyn in this article from Coastal Living. For some seriously crazy 'before' shots, (I see why it was going to be torn down!) check this out! And for more impressive rehabs/renovations/additions by Historical Concepts, head here!

And I can't mention Historical Concepts without giving a shout-out to their fabulous book Coming Home: The Southern Vernacular House...it's one of my favorites!

J Banks Design

Now I can't say for sure, but I'm thinking there is either a swimming pool or beach right outside the door here! The whimsical space was designed by J.Banks Design Group, an interior design firm out of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. The laundry room/mudroom/shower is entirely genius. Such a functional and smart design, but the colors are so fun! I LOVE those pink swinging doors! The playroom/family room is super fun too. Wish I knew the fabric on the windows...it's darling! You can finish your tour of the colorful home right over here!

If you are looking for a little Valentine's Day gift inspiration, you definitely need to check out the new to & from magazine! I'm super excited to be a part of this issue, sharing my favorites in the "gifts for gals" section!

Have a great weekend!!

Anne Hepfer Designs

I'm sure many of you have already drooled over this incredible home designed by Anne Hepfer and photographed by Virginia Macdonald, it was featured in House & Home a couple years ago! Last year it was on the market, so a ton more photos of it became available too. And bless her heart, Anne has fabulously large photos on her site! The Georgian-style home in Toronto is filled with soothing colors and comfortable, beautiful furnishings. I cannot decide what I love more: the beautiful living room with the stunning drapes, or the crazy-pretty white kitchen with its fabulous banquette! ALL so gorgeous!! Definitely visit Anne Hepfer next...I know you'll love the rest of her designs too!
