Just Beachy Bunkie

If there's one person who accomplished a heck of a lot this summer (August, where did you go?!), it's Chris of Just Beachy. All summer long she has been working hard building this adorable backyard bunkie. It's been so fun watching the progress unfold on her blog, and I have to say the end results are even more darling than I imagined! I can't even handle those floors...they are so stinkin' perfect. She used cottage pine wood flooring from Home Depot and painted them using high gloss latex floor porch paint in a cheery Jamaican Bay by Behr. And I just adore her hand-painted beach sign made from roof scraps. So cute! You can see more photos and read all about her project right here!

Rocco Bosman

When I spotted the TDF shutters on Head Over Heels, I knew I'd need to see more! With the help of heritage architect Rocco Bosman, this 1907 South African farmhouse featured in House and Leisure and photographed by Elsa Young was renovated int0 an enchanting French style home. I'm positively in love with those breathtaking arched doors and the 100-year-old French shutters imported by La Basse-Cour. If the garden wasn't so insanely picturesque (did you see those roses?!), it would be hard for me to keep them open! Tour more of the eclectic interior right on over here!

Jonathan Rosen

The pink and aqua family room in this East Hampton home designed by Jonathan Rosen has been a long-standing favorite of mine. In fact it was part of the inspiration for our wedding color scheme! The space was featured in House Beautiful back in 2006, but when I recently found additional photos I knew I'd have to share! I love how they brought the cheery color palette into the kitchen!

David Kleinberg

It's for good reason that this delightful room designed by David Kleinberg and photographed by Eric Piasecki that was featured in Architectural Digest has been shown all over blogland and Pinterest! Honestly I have to say this is one of my favorite images I've ever seen. Maybe because my first love in life was a plump Siamese cat, aptly named Cat...and then my Siamese cats Mouse, Scamp, Gizmo, Shiva and now currently Kismet. (We also have an orange and white cat Spencer, whom I love dearly.) Then add in the fact that long ago when I first discovered my fondness for turquoise, I found it even more favorable when paired with lime green. So there you have it. I'd stare all day at this photo and it would still bring me so much joy. I'm pretty sure I need the bedding from Leontine Linens pronto. However it's the fabulous Paradise Garden toile from Quadrille on the duvet and walls that is the true darling here! Or is it the cat? I can't decide. :)

I hope you have a fantastic weekend! I can't believe it's the last one in August!

Porter Design Company

I hope you don't mind another day of orange and turquoise! This posh bedroom designed by Lauren Guarcello of Porter Design Company and photographed by Peter Rymwid was in the Stately Homes By The Sea Show House in Red Bank, New Jersey. I love the fresh approach she took to the sophisticated room. The China Seas Lyford Blue on Tint fabric from Quadrille is absolutely beautiful here and I just love the collection of turquoise paintings by Brisbane artist and designer Kerri Shipp of Driftwood Interiors. They just pop on the gorgeous paper weave wallpaper from Thibaut! Such an inspiring space!

Angie Hranowsky

A brief look into the portfolio of Charleston-based Angie Hranowsky Design Studio will quickly tell you one thing: Angie loves color. And not just any color...a bold use of color, in delicious combos you don't see everyday. These two homes represent only a little bit of the eye candy, but I just loved them for their relaxed modern style and summery color palettes. The rest of her photos are just as yummy, so head on over here for more!

Hazardous Design

I feel like we never see enough of Schumacher's Chiang Mai Dragon in China Blue. Here is it, downright breathtaking in this gorgeous powder room belonging to Carrie and Chris of the blog Hazardous Design. They are in the process of renovating their 1886 New England home on Hazard Ave one room at a time. Since they moved in one year ago, they have tackled some big projects and have been detailing them all on their blog. It's super inspiring! You have to see this post for the before pics on this bathroom. You'll see just how far the space has come and love it THAT much more!

Dee Dee Taylor Hannah

The owner of this drop dead gorgeous kitchen (who is currently taking professional chef's classes!) worked with Canadian architect and designer Dee Dee Taylor Eustace to renovate her 380 sq ft kitchen and breakfast room. The blue-green quartzite stone on the countertops and used as inlays on the fab limestone floor inspired the room's color palette. I wish I knew what color the cabinets are painted, but they were custom mixed to match a favorite candle of the owner's. Sooo pretty! Everything is so functional and efficient here, a chef's dream come true! You can learn all about the space and see more great photos by Andreas Trautmansdorff over at Traditional Home!

Have you guys heard of the The Real Designing Women, the new HGTV reality show airing this fall? The show will be following the mastermind behind this kitchen Dee Dee Taylor Eustace in Toronto, as well as Amy Lau in New York and Lori Dennis in Los Angeles. I can't wait!

Happy weekend!! :)
