Adriano Bacchella

I first learned of photographer Adriano Bacchella from Danielle of Style-Files. He is the talented eye behind all of these captivating images from Casa Zeus on the island of Filicudi, Italy. Just one more place to add to my "must visit" list. I can't even imagine staying somewhere like this....I don't think I'd ever manage to leave! I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend! :)

James Salomon

I am loving the comfy, cozy and cool vibe of this home shot by photographer James Salomon. It automatically brings me to the middle of the summer (I swear I even just heard that cute screen door shut!) I think the bedroom is my favorite...the blue and green color scheme is so refreshing. LOVE that painted floor in there too! Check of more beautiful homes lucky enough to be photographed by Jamie over here!

Golden Touch

A while back BeachBungalow8 had a post featuring all sort of colorful Chicago condos from an article in Chicago Home & Garden magazine. This one obviously stuck out to me with its bold blue and gold color scheme. The shades of blue are all so heavenly! I especially love how the bed area is raised and separated by the curtains. The tufted headboard is my favorite feature of the room though!

Paul Raeside

I thought this photograph taken by Paul Raeside was just too lovely not to share. The lighting is just perfect! Love the striped fabric on the ottoman. What do you guys think about the ship?? I know I've seen them in a few other rooms...they definitely add a funky touch!

Seafarers Beach Cottage

I was so happy to learn about In My House by way of Absolutely Beautiful Things. These are images from one of Catherine's newly renovated beach cottages. I spy my Ikea four-poster bed (well, WILL be mine...!) Now how about that kitchen. The stainless steel is such a fun, unexpected pairing with the aqua and white. So cool!! Head here to read all about this lovely cottage!

Lavenderhouse

And lastly, this stunning 12' turquoise leather Chesterfield below was part of the Soho House’s Oscars House in a room designed by George Smith partnered with The Rug Company. Luckily for us, it's now for sale through the Los Angeles showroom of George Smith Furniture and Fabrics! Isn't it a beauty?!

About a year ago I was meandering through the Room and Board Outlet (we're very fortunate here in Minneapolis to have the only one!) Among all the discounted treasures was the most gorgeous turquoise velvet sofa. *gasp* I stared at it, sat on it, stared at it, sat on it....you get the picture. It was wasn't cheap (although a good price for R&B), but I was more worried about where I'd put the thing. Honestly though I wondered if a turquoise velvet sofa was really practical. I finally concluded it probably wasn't and walked away sad and empty-handed. Today the answer is definitively YES, it's highly practical! I'd snatch that baby up in a heartbeat!

Have a great weekend everyone! :)

Jo Rabaut

Here is a sneak peak into the rest of the home with the Kitchen of the Year I posted about on Tuesday. You can see how the Atlanta-based designer Jo Rabaut carried that gorgeous blue throughout the home. I especially love the spacious laundry room...those drying racks are great. I never have enough space to dry my clothes! To see more images from this Garden Hills residence (including a particularly envy-inducing closet and master bath), check out the portfolio of Rabaut Design Associates!

Edit: Jo Rabaut was kind enough to provide me with the paint information. The kitchen and laundry wall colors are Sherwin Williams SW 6211 Rainwashed.
