Interior designer Nancy Twomey of Finnian's Moon Interiors out of Alexandria, Virginia may be known for her beautiful and fresh children's spaces, but she clearly makes grown-ups happy too! Photographer James R. Salomon captured this home she designed, infused with pops of color and fun pattern. I especially love the breakfast area...it's so cute (Sugarboo art always makes me happy!), but the built-in storage is great too! Copper Gyer Design

Everything about this nursery knocked my socks off! The colorful space was designed by Santa Monica, California interior designer Copper Gyer for her lucky little girl. I didn't even know watercolor wallpaper was a thing, and had I even known, I'd never think to put it on a ceiling! But here it is and I'm obsessed! (Black Crow Studios....check it out!) The gold and white cowhide rug, fabulous curtains and chic furniture only add to the stylish and modern look that the little one can easily grow into! Guest Blogger: Audrey of Oh So Lovely

I (like all of you House of Turquoise followers) am obsessed with all things turquoise....and have been for as long as I can remember, so you can probably imagine how excited I am to be guest blogging here today.

I have used many shades of turquoise in the paint and decor of our home, but today I want to share with you the baby nursery that I recently DIY'd (on a major budget) for our daughter Vivienne (Vivi), who is set to arrive this June.

Once we found out we were having a girl, I immediately started thinking about the nursery and all of the possibility that this room had. I knew that turquoise would be the main color (duh), and while I am not a huge pink person, I wanted to add pops of hot pink/coral to girly it up just a bit (but not too much).

I also knew that I wanted a retro post modern style and to do the entire room from scratch for less than $500. Most people would think this is an impossible task, but I am the self proclaimed queen of DIY on a budget, so I was determined to make it happen.

Here is where I started:

And after 3 weeks of some solid DIY work (and many cans of spray paint...and a protective mask of course), I am pleased to introduce our $425 nursery!

Jenn Feldman Designs

Pretty, pretty color! I'm loving all the color and pattern in this beautiful home designed by Los Angeles interior designer Jenn Feldman. What I love most about Jenn is her ability to mix flea market finds with custom pieces and cherished family antiques, not to mention bargains from Target! The fabulous wallpaper is the real standout for me in this home though...Kravet in the living room, Schumacher in the bathroom and Osborne and Little (my fav!) in the adorable nursery! Brittany Davis

It doesn't get any sweeter than this! Creative and talented mom Brittany Davis out of Charlottesville, Virginia designed this incredible nursery for her little Ada Jane, using the most beautiful colors (walls are Aqua Glow by Valspar) and unique objects. Everything you see is something Brittany made (with the help of good friends), pieces from antique shops that were painted and re-finished, or things saved through the years–like her mother's boots from the 50's, her old ballet pointe shoes and Christening gown or the needle point her Great Grandmother created! Amazing!! I know this is one room that everyone in the entire family treasures! Such beautiful photos too...Cali Freeman with Once like a Spark Photography did an amazing job capturing the delightful space! Love it all!
