Samantha Pynn

Last July I did a short post about Samantha Pynn, the decorator, stylist, and host designer of Pure Design on HGTV, in addition to being a design editor for Style at Home magazine. Talk about talent! I only shared one image then, of the bedroom above, but you guys all told me how much you loved her and her designs. It was enough to have me hooked! So I was delighted to discover she has a new website filled with fabulous, fun, colorful rooms all photographed by Virginia Macdonald. Key West & Hallmark

What I'd give to spend a weekend in this adorable Key West vacation home designed by Todd Richesin! Melissa of The Inspired Room posted several photos from the very cool home featured in Traditional Home, but it was the guesthouse and pool that stopped me in my tracks. It's picture-perfect in every way!
Thank you all for your super-supportive comments again regarding my time at Hallmark! The presentation went SO WELL. I couldn't have been more pleased with my first-ever speaking engagement! I think the success can be fully attributed to the fact that I was talking about my two favorite things: turquoise and blogging! You guys should have seen the reception afterward. They had turquoise cupcakes that were painstakingly made by Hallmarker Laura of the blog Oh For Heaven Cakes (I can't get over that name...too cute!) They tasted just as fantastic as they looked! Loved the yummy turquoise punch too, talk about perfect color! A giant thank you to Scott, Susan and Marita for their kindness and hospitality. I thoroughly enjoyed every second with them! I had the fortune of meeting so many cool, creative people! I really dug the energy and creativity flowing through the halls of Hallmark, the inspiration everywhere was incredible. What a great experience!

Buckingham Interiors

I thought this room by Julia Edelmann of Buckingham Interiors was the perfect cheerful, summery image for today! I adore the blue bench and baskets, and how we're all ready for our day at the beach with our towels and lotion!

Thanks so much for your super-sweet, encouraging words yesterday! You guys are the best! Everyone from Hallmark has been so nice and so fun so far, I can't wait to report back tomorrow and tell you how the presentation went! :)

Calm and Cool

I am loving the fresh and serene vibe that I'm getting from these two images! (First room from Traditional Home, second from Canadian House & Home.) I am really needing this dose of calmness today...I'm so nervous! This afternoon I'm flying down to Kansas City to meet the nice folks over at Hallmark, then tomorrow morning I'm giving their creative division a presentation all about turquoise (and my blogs, of course). What an honor to be asked to talk about my two favorite things! And hopefully we'll have some converts to our favorite color! :)

Rainwashed Again!

I'm so not alone in my love for Rainwashed by Sherwin Williams. Two readers/fellow bloggers recently completed amazing transformations in their homes using this beautiful shade. First off, Renee of Modus Operandi Designs just finished remodeling her kitchen. I love how functional and stylish it is! She said she wanted a contemporary farmhouse kitchen, and I say that's exactly what she got! Next, the lovely Emily of Decor Chick and her beautiful master bedroom. Before it was ocean of beige, now (just $170 later!! for real?!) it's a peaceful space full of life! Check out their great blogs for more images, including before-n'afters!

Georgia Carlee

I've featured the WaterColor, Florida home by Georgia Carlee of GCI Design before, but after taking a look at her portfolio, I had to feature it again, this time with some bonus images in addition to the ones from Traditional Home. (Plus now I know how to have larger images, 2 years ago I did not!) I love the soothing, beachy color scheme and all the natural elements...totally reminds me of the sand and sky. Definitely the perfect beachy home, if you ask me!

Tracy's Eclectic Home Tour

Can I tell you how much I love this home belonging to my dear reader Tracy?! I am really digging the mix of modern and vintage, and the fresh color palette that is carried throughout. Each photo has so much to look at, I can just imagine wandering around her home asking, "And where'd you find this?" Isn't the entryway just the most welcoming that you've seen??
