Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! Aside from a couple mums, we never got around to decorating our front door this fall (a new baby will do that!), but I've been loving what I've been seeing around the blogosphere and Pinterest....especially this front porch from The Wood Grain Cottage! Shayna went all out with her decorating, which was inspired by the great outdoors and cozy fall elements. I have to admit though, it was her door painted Wythe Blue by Benjamin Moore that first got my attention! Love it with the orange! You guys have to see inside Shayna's home, it's beautiful. Birds of a Feather Design

I can always count on Hooper Patterson and Ann White Schutte of Birds of a Feather Design for a breathtaking transformation! The designing duo out of Wilmington, North Carolina took a drab, awkward kitchen and turned it into a coastal oasis of serene color and smart functionality! The new space was inspired by the fabulous modern sea glass backsplash tile. I love how they pulled the blue out and painted the island Benjamin Moore's Wythe Blue! Studio Ten 25

Immersing myself in a house full of pretty color (Wythe Blue!), fun pattern and fabulous furniture is what I call the perfect end to the week! This fabulous home was designed by Abbe Fenimore of Studio Ten 25 out of Dallas, Texas (and photographed beautifully by Melanie Johnson) for a newlywed couple that wanted a chic modern look for their first home together. The builder’s standard and more traditional finishes weren't working for them so Abbe had dark espresso hardwoods installed, dated lighting changed out and unveiled a black and white color palette with pops of turquoise and yellow! She also incorporated the wife's love for mirrored pieces while bringing in the bold graphics and masculine touches the husband was after. All in such perfect balance! Isn't the bedroom amazing?! (The couple–and Abbe's favorite room!) The curtains and bedding are so luxurious, not to mention that incredible headboard!

Historical Concepts + Steven Gambrel - Part One

You may recognize this gem, it was Cottage Living magazine’s first Idea House. (Anyone else miss that magazine?!) The Bridgehampton cottage was designed by Historical Concepts out of Peachtree City, Georgia, with the interior design by Steven Gambrel. More than anything, I love the sunny breakfast nook with the comfy banquette. The combo of the red chairs and blue walls is fantastic, and I love the collection of bottles! The earthy colors paired with the light blue in the living room is great too, so soothing and cozy-feeling. And what Hamptons retreat would be complete without a fabulous pool! On Monday we'll be touring the upstairs with more photos from Marco Ricca and Cottage Living, including a spectacular loft area I know you'll LOVE!

Karen Garlanger Designs

What's better than Benjamin Moore's Wythe Blue?! A whole kitchen filled with it! Interior designer Karen Garlanger out of St. Joseph, Michigan was inspired by the cloud color in the granite when she chose one of my favorite paint colors for the custom cabinets. What a statement! You can read more about it over at Cultivate! Have you guys heard of that site?? I just learned about it yesterday and am hooked. It's entirely devoted to kitchen design, with loads of highly-pinnable photos, ideas, advice, that sort of stuff.
