Kriste Michelini Interiors

What a dreamy little space! San Francisco Bay Area interior designer Kriste Michelini created this cozy, light-filled "writer's retreat" on the third floor of the 2013 San Francisco Decorator Showcase, photographed here by David Duncan Livingston and Roberto Tiscareno. I can't think of a more perfect place to hide out to write or settle in with a good book! The turquoise chaise is absolutely fabulous! And I love the colorful Brit Pop Wallpaper by Elitis behind the comfy mound of fun pillows! Can you even believe these rooms?!! I can't handle it! The fabulous spaces are all part of the portfolio of Tracy Hardenburg, an incredible interior designer out of Dallas. Talk about fresh and fun designs with a great mix of color and pattern, not to mention awesome lighting, great furniture, floor coverings, wallpaper...seriously, I could go on and on! Villa Pima in Turks and Caicos

I can't think of a place I'd rather visit than Turks & Caicos! Pretty sure Villa Pima would be the perfect place to take in all of the breathtaking turquoise water! My days would undoubtedly be spent by the pool (staring at the ocean, of course!), but evenings on the porch or curled up on the cute sofa would be total heaven! Oh, and there's a private swimming pad down on the water too...you couldn't tear me away from that! See that and lots more (including rental info–we could all chip in!), head here!

I was super excited to see this John's Island, Florida vacation home gracing the pages of Coastal Living! It just happens to be one of my all-time favorite projects by Phoebe Howard, photographed here by Erica George Dines. The green and blue color palette combined with the perfect amount of neutrals keeps things bright and breezy, not to mention comfortable and inviting. Cottage Coastal Store Giveaway!

Living up here in Minnesota I can relate to wanting a bright and and cheerful home all year round, like the homeowners of this fun cottage on Lake Michigan designed by Dana Small. I am seriously loving that light-filled kitchen...those stools are too cute! (Found the cushion fabric here!) Amanda Nisbet is one of the very first designers I ever learned about and immediately loved. Can you see why?! Her extensive portfolio is so colorful and so fresh that it leaves me practically speechless! Her genius blend of color, pattern and texture make for some incredibly elegant, fun and daring interiors. Not to mention totally livable and comfortable! This hardly puts a dent it in, you must head to her site to see lots more of her incredible designs!

Amanda also recently published her very first book, Dazzling Design. Definitely one for our wish lists this year!
