If I hadn't discovered these photos via Colorado Homes & Lifestyles, I would have sworn the house was in New England! For good reason though, as the owners lived in Massachusetts for many years before moving to Denver. Interior Nan Procknow and architect Don Ruggles worked to execute their vision of a new home inspired by their summers spent on the coast. I love the soft blue and green color scheme throughout the home. The glass tiles on the backsplash are gorgeous! Don't miss the rest of the home here!

Jim Howard
Just a sidenote: we're getting pretty close to the wedding here...16 days to be exact!! (Eek! So exciting!) My posts might be a little more sparse than usual from here on out, and regrettably some emails may be falling through the cracks. I'll make it up to you with wedding photos though, I promise! Actually we just had our engagement photos taken last night. (We waited until the very end, I know, but around here the snow is finally losing its battle against the sun!) And yes, there was turquoise!! :)

Around the World
You know it's going to be a good day when you learn that Designers Guild has new stuff! These photos actually showcase one of their new collections, Around the World, that I learned about from my friends over at Hirshfield's Color Club. I know it's not a ton of turquoise, but doesn't even just littlest bit make any room better?! These are entirely cheery and fun! Marsha actually shared quite a bit of eye candy and inspiration, so head here for more!

Libby Langdon
I love how designer Libby Langdon manages to incorporate a slight nautical theme into this Newport, Rhode Island guestroom, while keeping the look simple and elegant. I just want to crack open the door and listen to the waves! Don't you agree the gorgeous wall color is such a great complement to the crisp bedding? You don't want to miss out on the rest of the home, I know you'll LOVE it, so head on over here!

Andrés Jacque
Funky! This Ibiza home named "Never Never Land" designed by Madrid-based architect Andrés Jacque and featured in The New York Times was built to have as minimal an impact as possible on the surrounding landscape. No trees had to be cut down during construction, and as you can see, they were actually incorporated into the interior! That's some serious dedication! How fabulous is that infinity pool overlooking the valley?! To see just how impressive this home actually is, head to this gallery...it's insanely cool! Happy weekend everyone!

Kathryn Chaplow
A ton of new snow was just dumped on Minnesota, but that doesn't stop me from dreaming about summer! I'd love to have a lake home just like this Lake Michigan cottage designed by Kathryn Chaplow. Actually I'd love to just have a home like this one, it really doesn't even need to be by a lake! That serene bedroom is a slice of heaven! Love the aqua, the ceilings, the little nook...all so pretty. What about the porch...how fun is that red animal print?! And did you notice the blue and green fabric on the pillow on the sofa in the living room? It looks a lot like the fabric from yesterday's nursery! We gotta figure out what that is, I love it! See more of Kathryn's work right on over here!

The Farmer Nursery
While anxiously awaiting the birth of her new son, my super-talented (and super-sweet) reader Robyn of The Farmer Family just put the final touches on this beautifully harmonious nursery. The only thing that could possibly improve it would be the addition of her soon-to-be-born little one! How gorgeous is the fabric she selected for the bedding and curtains?! Believe it or not, she didn't even plan it when she picked it out, it just happened to perfectly match the existing wall color! You're all going to want to head over to visit Robyn. Her adorable little daughter's room is turquoise too, as is her sewing room! Head on over here for a peek!!

Welcome, Sweet Springtime!
Spring is in the air! And if not outside your windows, definitely in that first delightful image above. (The cute kitty called for top placement!) Photographed by Peter Carlsson and featured in Hus & Hem, this century-old Swedish home is light and bright, just what I love. The sunny porch is such a great space...what a pretty place to keep your things or enjoy a cup of tea! Tour the rest of the home here!

Susan Gilmore
Love. It. All.
This drop-dead Minneapolis kitchen designed by Albertsson Hansen Architecture was brought to life by talented photographer Susan Gilmore. So much to love, no?! I'm crazy about the blue light-filled breakfast area, the awesome windows, the dark floors and white tile walls. Talk about the perfect combination of light and dark polished off with splashes of juicy color. It doesn't get any better than this in my book!

Kendall Wilkinson
I really enjoyed reading the interview Cristin of Simplified Bee did with San Francisco interior designer Kendall Wilkinson. It was actually a turquoise showhouse room she designed that fueled my inspiration to start this blog so long ago...I'd never seen anything like it before! Since then I've continued to be impressed with her work. Her rooms are all so beautiful and glamorous, but never stuffy. I'm also a tremendous fan of her use of color. Read the inspiring interview on Simplified Bee, and for more of her work, visit Kendall Wilkinson Design & Home.
Since it's Friday again (where do these weeks go?!), it's time to announce: Only 4 weeks left! And believe it or not, one last wedding shower thrown by my awesome family! I can't wait! Happy weekend everyone! :)

Happy, Happy Birthday!
Today's room from Colorado Homes and Lifestyles and photographed by Emily Minton Redfield, is dedicated to my handsome fiancé who is celebrating his birthday!! In a perfect world, my rugged outdoorsman would live in the mountains as a hikemaster, residing (with moi, of course) in light-filled contemporary digs. This Aspen home designed Barbara Mullen of Caroline-Edwards Interior Design would be right up his alley. He's more neutral-happy than I am but readily admits to loving the turquoise. In fact I know he'd love those George Smith chairs...he's got a major thing for tufted furniture. But undoubtedly it's the view and the proximity of a scenic hike that would have him at hello! See more of this sleek, understated mountain home here! And a huge happy birthday to my FH, Chris! ♥
(taken last week at my bridal shower...isn't he cute?!)
