Last week La Dolce Vita had a great post all about Circa Lighting. This image was included, but the pretty sconce didn't stick out to me as much as the fab turquoise subway tiles!! Love them paired with that great mirror!

When I saw Cameron Diaz at the Costume Institute Gala back in 2007 sporting a stunning purple dress paired with a gorgeous turquoise necklace and earrings, I practically started drooling. (Go look at a picture of her here....totally fab, no?) Purple and Turquoise? I had never considered it before then. Now every time I see a room with the colors, I automatically think back to her, and love the combo even more. And if you see me running around in a purple top or dress, wearing one of my many turquoise accessories, you'll know why!

Janet Lohman

These pretty bedrooms were all designed by Janet Lohman. The palettes are so peaceful and calming. I'm not usually a big fan of upholstered headboards, but these I'm loving, especially in the first image with the matching comfy sofa. I love the lighting in the room with the matching twin beds. What a great guestroom!

Caitlin Moran

I am crazy about the color in this Cow Hollow Residence designed by Caitlin Moran and photographed by Kathryn MacDonald. Isn't that yellow great with the teal?! And what a fun gallery wall outside the bedroom...I love it with the wallpaper and teal trim. Caitlin co-owns Found, a shop full of 'rediscovered objects' located in San Francisco. I have to have this desk!

White + Turquoise = LOVE

I spotted this image on Home Sweet Home and it took my breath away. How could I resist the bursts of turquoise against the simple white background? And the symmetry?? I do love symmetry. Are those little teeny tiny drawers on the nightstands??

Idea House on the Gulf Coast of Texas

A lot of these images from the Southern Living 2009 Texas Idea House have been floating around blogland, but I had to share this space designed by Tracery Interiors here too! I can't get enough of the orange and aqua! What a fun, cheery combo it is. In general though I just love all the patterns and colors used in this beach retreat. Phoebe Howard

How utterly fabulous is the bed in this room designed by Phoebe Howard?! Her work is incredible; I love looking at her website over and over again. I've never spent any time down south, but when I do, I NEED to hit up her stores Mrs. Howard and Max & Company. Have any of you ever been? Are they as dreamy as I imagine? Tell me all!

Beachy Living Room

Pretty pretty pretty!! Atlanta designer Mimi Williams wanted to have a "beach girl" vibe in this landlocked house, as the owner of the house spent her summers as a child at the beach on Tybee Island where she developed a love of the beach and various shades of turquoise. (I wish I had that excuse!) I love those turquoise leather neoclassical side chairs and all the sea-colored pottery. Georgia Idea House

This luxurious master bedroom and bathroom come from the Southern Living 2009 Georgia Idea House. The spa-like bathroom ranks right up there as an all-time favorite for me. It's so dreamy with the aqua grasscloth wall coverings, the walnut stained floors, pedestal tub and the mosaic sea-glass tile in the shower. I love the aqua combined with the touches of red in the bedroom...the look is so sophisticated. And how cool to have a coffee bar just steps away from the bed...definitely an amenity I could get used to!

Burcu Avsar

The portfolio of photographer Burcu Avsar is a true feast for the eyes (especially the beautiful still-life photographs...seriously...check those out here). These rooms are just so pretty too. I am completely drooling over those round pillows in the first image! And what a cute sitting area in that coastal blue bedroom. I can easily imagine some girls having a grand time gabbing away there!

Muriel Brandolini

This stairwell in a home designed by Muriel Brandolini is so lovely and unique. I've never seen so many types of paper lanterns! The colors of the lanterns and pillows look great against the pretty wall color. And I LOVE the painted steps! What a cozy little place to sit back with a magazine!

I was so inspired by Chic Coles great post yesterday on white painted floors, I thought I'd do my own on turquoise and blue painted ones! Some of these images you might have seen on here before, some are new. Either way, they're all gorgeous in my book. The Windsor Smith kitchen may be my favorite..that picture just never gets old. Which room is your favorite??

I was beyond delighted to spot an image of this dining room on BabyCheri Style, as I'd seen the room before in the portfolio of photographer Stacey Brandford (and wrote about it last year, but you know how it is when you see more of a room you love!!). The room was designed by Toronto based interior designer Sarah Richardson. (You must check out her site, it's a ton of fun to go through!) I like the description of the room off her portfolio: A study in neutral backdrops brought to life with bold injections of bright shades drawn from the surrounding ocean views. It's formal yet family friendly, elegant yet easygoing, and fashionable at every turn.

Frank Roop

I've decided that I don't post nearly enough from Frank Roop on here. Oh how I love this man! He sure knows his ways with the blues and the greens, and I love the addition of the pinks to the mix.
