Jonathan Adler Knows Happy

A couple of weeks ago Rebecca of Harmony and Home tagged me with the challenge to pick an image that best describes my style. It was around then that I received House Beautiful in the mail with these photographs of Liz Lange's home designed by none other than Jonathan Adler. As much as I love tranquil turquoise rooms, I think vibrant, bold rooms are more my personal style. They just make me feel happy. And THIS, my friends, is exactly what I'm talking about! Aqua, Yellow and Green...Oh My!

I love the colors used in these rooms, captured by photographer James Salomon. I'm still really loving the aqua and yellow combination and find myself wearing them together a lot now. Don't you LOVE the bedding in the first image? And the curtains and pillows in the last? View more of Jamie's work at his online portfolio here!

Pool Party

Did you guys see this Skateboarder's Dream House that Jennifer of MadeByGirl discovered?? There was a sideshow and article all about it in The New York Times. I love the fireplace painted Benjamin Moore’s Pool Party Blue. I thought this was cool too: "A bathroom designed to look like a pool, with depth marks and pool coping, reminds its owners of the skateboarder’s nirvana: an empty pool." Love it!

Turquoise Living Room

There's lots of turquoise to love in this room from HousetoHome! I especially the the shade of that cozy rug and the striped fabric on the chair.

Edit: Does anyone happen to know what the fantastic fabric is on the chair??

Azul

This beautiful "azul" dining room belongs to Ana Cristina Antunes, a TV producer in Portugal (fittingly, her show is basically a Portuguese version of Extreme Makeover Home Edition). She sent me these images as we both share the same passion for blue. I'd say that's definitely true from the looks of this room! For more images of her stunning home, hop over to Elements of Style. You won't be disappointed!

Ready for Bed

I thought these images were all so beautiful, I just had to share them with you on this spring Friday. If you ask me, the flowers in these bedrooms (even painted in the top image) make all the difference. Have a fabulous weekend everyone! :)

Stairway to Heaven

I saw this picture on The Paris Apartment, and it instantly took my breath away. These stairs go straight to Heaven, I'm sure of it.

Beachy Chic

How lovely is this East Hampton home of Ali Wentworth and George Stephanopolous? The Newlywed Diaries was reminded of it last week because the couple's townhouse in Georgetown is currently featured in Elle Decor. Both of their beautiful homes were designed by Elizabeth Martin. I adore the color of the walls in the first image (and that adorable picture above the couch!). The collection of mirrors in the stairway is such a fantastic idea too. Love it all!

Shakin' Things Up

I don't think I've ever run into a kitchen with 2 different colored cabinets like this, but the look is really fun. I especially love the tile backsplash though..it brings everything together perfectly. And the pop of red from the scale certainly catches my eye. Love that too! Image via HousetoHome.

Colorful Hamptons Cottage

With all the hugemongous Hamptons homes around, it's so refreshing to see a small, cheery little cottage like this one designed by Leslie Klotz. You must jump over to House Beautiful to view more images of this home, as each room is certainly a treat to the eyes!

Flowerwild

I'm not usually very interested in floral arrangements, but this quickly changed when I discovered Kate Holt, the owner and lead designer of Flowerwild in Burbank, California via Decor8. Holy cow does her website and blog feature some beautiful arrangements. I swear I can smell all the floral goodness! Isn't this table setting featured in Sunset Magazine just lovely?? The red with the turquoise is always a winner with me!

Number 6

I found this AMAZING door on weheartit and wish I could some more info on it. Do any of you know its origin? I've never seen anything like it, but I heart it (how appropriate!).

Edit: A HUGE thanks to Nay-K for finding us more on this breathtaking Art Nouveau door! She even found more photos, and now I love it even more. It's located in Brussels, 6 Rue du Lac. Check out flickr for lots more pictures. I'll put a few below. Just too lovely!

Emma Lee

I was thrilled to discover photographer Emma Lee from reading Desire to Inspire. Isn't this room neat?? So many interesting aspects to it. And of course, LOVE those windows! You gotta check out her portfolio for so many more beautiful interior shots!

Lieblich!

Pretty things come in little packages! Located in Cologne, Germany, my architect father tells me this bedroom/stairway wouldn't fly here in the states (and I don't how I'd feel if I had to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night!). Nevertheless, it is altogether 560 square feet of turquoise joy! More info and pics here. (Thanks Alexandra! Good luck finding the perfect apartment!)

Bed of Flowers

Images of this delightful countryside bed and breakfast in Holland aptly named Bed of Flowers have been showing up everywhere in the blogosphere, so I apologize if you've seen them already. These were just too beautiful, too perfect for me, I had no choice but to share a few here too! Can you believe a room here costs only €95 per night for two people, which includes breakfast! Visit their website here to view a ton more yummy images.
